Laura Lazarus-Gardner

Laura Lazarus-Gardner was a student affiliate at the Duke Initiative on Survey Methodology while she completed a PhD in Political Science at Duke University. She additionally served as a PARISS Graduate Assistant. Her research areas include gender and politics, survey methodology, public opinion, and communication and her dissertation research examines the effects of gender socialization on political engagement, efficacy, and ambition. She currently leads the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative’s Justice and Opportunity Research Team, which executes quantitative and qualitative research supporting CZI’s criminal justice reform, immigration reform, and housing affordability programs.
